BodyShop Athletic Therapies
About Me
I’m a compassionate, hands-on therapist committed to treating the whole person—not just the symptoms. By combining expert manual therapy techniques—including dry needling, fascial manipulation, and other advanced soft tissue treatments—with a strong interpersonal connection. I deliver personalized care that goes beyond physical relief, fostering healing and overall well-being. I believe every client deserves to feel heard, valued, and supported throughout their recovery journey.
With over 15 years of experience as an athletic trainer in professional hockey—including the last five at the NHL level—I bring elite-level precision, care, and performance insight to every session. My career has spanned multiple pro leagues, where I’ve treated everything from acute injuries to long-term performance needs for top-tier athletes.
Now, I'm bringing that same level of care to you.
I founded BodyShop Athletic Therapies with the goal to provide one-on-one treatment that fuses the innovation of pro sports medicine with the convenience of concierge care. Whether you're a weekend warrior, high-level athlete, or simply someone who wants to move and feel better, my mission is simple: help you restore, rebuild, and revive—just like we do in the big leagues.

Evaluation & Treatment
Dry Needling
The number of needles (dose) used and time inserted are solely dependent on the injury.
Dry needling must be performed by a healthcare professional who has obtained additional training to their certifications and credentials. Professionals who are eligible to perform dry needling include medical doctors, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and chiropractors.
Matthew Aiello learned dry needling under Sue Falsone’s curriculum in her Structure and Function Education courses, leading to a SFDN credential.
Fascial Manipulation
Fascial Manipulation utilizes specific, localized deep friction techniques to address identified fascial restrictions. These adhesions can develop from overuse, injury, or poor movement patterns, often leading to pain, stiffness, or limited performance.
By restoring proper glide within the fascial layers, this therapy helps reduce pain, improve range of motion, and enhance functional movement—making it ideal for athletes and active individuals looking to recover faster and move better.
TPI Assessment & Program
As part of my concierge service, this assessment helps uncover mobility or stability limitations, allowing me to create tailored treatment and performance plans to improve movement efficiency, reduce injury risk, and enhance your game.
